Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior IT Functional Analyst - Cyber Security to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in the cyber security domain, with a deep understanding of security solutions, risk management, compliance, and incident response. As a senior functional analyst, you will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and optimizing security technologies and ensuring they align with business needs and compliance requirements. You will also play a key role in advising leadership on cyber security strategies and best practices.Key Responsibilities:•Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of security strategies and solutions to protect the organization’s assets, systems, and data. Assess existing security controls and recommend improvements based on risk assessments.•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and define cyber security requirements, selecting the most effective tools and technologies to address security needs across the enterprise. Drive the implementation and optimization of security solutions (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls, etc.).•Ensure that security solutions are aligned with industry best practices and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001). Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard information assets•Lead the response to security incidents, working with the security operations team to investigate and resolve security breaches. Provide insights and strategies to improve threat detection and prevention across the enterprise.•Partner with IT, business units, and external stakeholders to ensure cyber security requirements are well understood and appropriately addressed. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring leadership is informed about potential threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues.•Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and ensure compliance with security frameworks. Recommend actionable steps to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.•Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the cyber security landscape, continuously improving the organization's security systems and processes to address emerging threats.•Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts and other team members. Lead training sessions on cyber security best practices and ensure the broader organization is aware of security risks and mitigation strategies.•Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to security systems, incident reports, risk assessments, and compliance audits. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the status of security initiatives, threats, and vulnerabilities.
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.•10+ years of experience in Cyber Security, with a focus on security analysis, architecture, risk management, and incident response.•Proven experience in security solution implementation, including firewalls, SIEM systems, endpoint protection, IAM (Identity and Access Management), data loss prevention, and other core cyber security technologies.•Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and others.•Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.•Expertise in threat detection, response, and forensics using tools like Splunk, FireEye, or similar.•Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network security, and security architectures.•Experience with cyber security governance and security risk management frameworks.•In-depth understanding of network protocols, encryption, incident management, and malware analysis.•Certifications in Cyber Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a hands-on approach to solving complex security challenges.•Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
