The Medical Equipment Installation Engineer will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of medical equipment in hospitals and healthcare facilities. he will ensure that installation locations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements, and will coordinate with MEP and construction contractors to verify rooms readiness before installation.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Installation Assessment:- Review approved medical equipment (MEQ) layout drawings and technical specifications.- Inspect the designated installation rooms to ensure compliance with approved drawings.- Verify that the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and construction work meet the required standards for equipment installation.- Report any non-conformities to project managers and contractors and follow up on corrective actions. Coordination & Communication:- Liaise with hospital management, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth installation.- Provide technical support to construction teams to rectify deficiencies before installation.- Attend project meetings and provide status updates on installation readiness. Installation & Testing:- Supervise and participate in the installation of medical equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.- Perform system integration and testing to ensure proper functionality.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.- Ensure compliance with healthcare safety and regulatory standards. Documentation & Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of site assessments, installation progress, and test results.- Prepare and submit installation reports and site inspection checklists.- Ensure all equipment manuals, certificates, and documentation are properly handed over. Post-Installation Support:- Conduct initial training for hospital staff on equipment operation.- Provide after-installation technical support and troubleshooting if required
Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.- Experience in installing and commissioning medical equipment in healthcare settings is preferred.- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction standards related to medical equipment installation.- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.- Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing tools for medical devices.- Willingness to travel to different project sites as required.
