Our client is a leading paper manufacturing company based in Saudi. For them we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement function of raw materials and other items, ensuring cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality and sustainability standards. You will play a key part in supporting our mission to advance recycling initiatives and enhance our production capabilities in the paper manufacturing sector.Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure high quality and sustainable sourcing of materials.- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions aligned with organizational goals.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand material needs and forecast procurement requirements.- Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any issues and ensuring compliance with contracts and quality standards.- Evaluate market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare reports on purchasing metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.- Must be Saudi national. - 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in paper manufacturing or recycling sectors.- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and achieve favourable outcomes.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.- Knowledge of sustainability practices and commitment to environmental initiatives.- Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decisions.
