We are looking for to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel for a government-owned entity managing high-value assets and transactions, including complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A) across multiple sectors.Role SummaryThis is a strategic, hands-on legal role for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-heavy environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate law, M&A transactions, and cross-border legal work. You’ll support high-value transactions including SPAs, corporate governance, restructuring, and negotiation of commercial contracts.What They’re Looking For•Significant experience in M&A—including cross-border transactions, SPAs, and corporate structuring.•Strong understanding of corporate law, legal risk management, and complex legal advisory.•Experience working at an international law firm is essential.•Ideally, previous in-house experience with a PIF entity or other major holding company or publicly listed business.•Exposure to corporate governance, shareholder agreements, and high-level contract drafting and negotiation.•Comfortable working independently—this role does not involve a large legal team beneath it.
•Legally qualified with at least 8–12 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).•Common law jurisdiction or international law background preferred.•Confident, proactive, and able to handle sensitive and high-profile legal matters autonomously.
