Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Construction Director (Heavy Civils / Infra) to join their team in Riyadh, KSA to work on a Giga-project in the Kingdom. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Construction Director specialised in Heavy Civils and Infrastructure works experienced in major Developments across the wider GCC and a proven background working in a recognised PMC or Design Consultancy business.This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.Key Responsibilities:Project oversight: Supervise and manage all aspects of construction project, including materials procurement, and site work.Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders.Quality Control: Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.Manage a multi functional site supervision/PMC team responsible for delivering a large number of multiple contracts, particularly enabling works, infrastructure, heavy civils, utilities.Manage key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the Client organisation as well as other government departments.Overall construction management and control.Monitor contractors for compliance with their contractual responsibilities.Monitor progress of the construction for compliance with schedule.Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities.Must be forward thinking and experienced in running large, multi-disciplined site teams
Construction Director (Heavy Civils / Infrastructure) Experience:Must have a minimum qualification as BSc, BEng or equivalent from a recognized university. Advanced degree and Chartered status are preferrable.20 years+ experience with 7 years being similar to this project/role.A qualified professional who is currently working at a Construction Lead Level and is capable of providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multidisciplinary projects (Infra/Heavy Civils).Experience with large scale construction operations, management of multiple contracts, particularly enabling works, infrastructure, heavy civils and utilities.Candidates must have prior experience of working in Saudi Arabia in a client facing role.Highly articulate, experienced in reporting and communication to senior executives.A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful construction delivery.Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with Clients and internally.
