Job Description
Our Client currently has an opening for a Technical Services and Vendor Manager in Dublin.
Responsibilities :
• To be the go/nogo decision maker and gatekeeper of the production system to ensure all changes are appropriately assessed and managed into the production environment.
• To be the decision maker for production change implementations which are driven by daily operational issues
• To be the Decision maker on system design & architecture.
• To manage Infrastructure and ensure all infrastructure required for the operational support of the business and services delivered to the client support those requirements effectively
• To manage the helpdesk provider to deliver a professional service delivery, both reactive and proactive, to the business and the client
• To develop and manage appropriate SLA's with vendors, suppliers and internally which meet requirements as driven by the business
• To develop and manage appropriate process and defined services for issue escalation and resolution outside of business hours
• To ensure that appropriate schedules relating to routine maintenance works which will ensure that there is minimal business impacts while supporting the requirement for routine maintenance
• To manage relevant audit schedules across the vendor base relating to threat detection and management and to ensure compliance to relevant policies driven by international security standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI
• To audit the disaster recovery plan and ensure appropriate services are in place to support disaster recovery scenarios in line with business requirements
Skill Set
Requirements: Technical Competencies: To be knowledgeable of networking technologies and configuration Have the ability to manage vendors at a technical level Have good server and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) knowledge for maintenance of same. Have the ability to identify and present solutions to resolve both technical and business issues Have appropriate knowledge of formal processes such as ITIL Have some knowledge of databases and applications To be knowledgeable in the area of Quality standards and how they apply to technology systems within ICT
