Role Due to continued growth and opportunities to support our clients, we are currently seeking to hire an Associate Director who will join our Risk Consulting team in Dublin.
We are specifically interested in hearing from experienced Risk or Compliance professionals working in various sectors or another professional services firm who have previously held leadership roles and have an interest in a Consulting role in KPMG. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 7 years' experience.
Are you our next Risk Consulting Associate Director? Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model. Grade: Associate Director Contract type: Permanent Key Qualifications and Experience We ideally need you to have most of the following on your CV:
- Proven experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or related advisory roles, ideally within consulting or regulated industries .
- Experience in client-facing roles , with a track record of building and deepening relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Technical experience in one or more of the following areas: risk and compliance frameworks (design and implementation), governance structures (advice on and assessment of governance models and board-level reporting), process, risk and control analysis (assessment and assurance reviews across business process), remediation and assurance (leading or supporting remediation programmes) and business modelling (preparation of forecast, financial or remediation models).
- Ability to identify client needs, propose tailored solutions, and contribute to business development initiatives .
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
- Experience in transformational change initiatives, including risk transformation, compliance modernisation, or consumer protection reform.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills , including the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills , with a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence and engage across all levels of an organisation.
- High levels of drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence in delivery.
- A broad understanding of commercial, business, and economic issues that impact risk and compliance functions.

- Manage a portfolio of clients, advise clients and lead client engagements to strengthen relationships, enhance reputation, and deliver measurable value.
- Lead end-to-end large-scale Risk Consulting, Remediation, Business Modelling, Assurance initiatives or programmes of work , partnering with clients to shape and deliver value, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality risk consulting services.
- Understand complex client challenges and design tailored solutions , considering risk, structure, timelines, and cost.
- Drive performance against targets, ensuring outcomes align with client expectations and strategic goals.
- Identify and lead innovation opportunities , building business cases, mobilising teams, and delivering results.
- Contribute to future strategy through thought leadership, proposal development, and technical capability building.
- Lead and mentor junior team members , nurturing talent and fostering a diverse, inclusive team environment.
Your team: Our team has in-depth experience of financial services with specific expertise in the banking sector and a broad range of risk experience across other sectors. We are a leading practice in product services providing strategic advice and support across a range of product risk areas including systems integration and migration, due diligence and risk assessment, governance and compliance, and product assurance.
Our team manages diverse issues including consumer protection, regulatory compliance, design and implementation of product risk frameworks, remediations and financial modelling.
