Job Purpose:OPDC is a PIF subsidiary tasked with delivering THE RIG project—an extraordinary hospitality and adventure experience located on sustainable oil platforms in the middle of the sea. The Rig consists of four main Topside platforms, which will host:•800 hotel rooms•11 restaurants•50-berth marina•6 zones of leisure and recreation activities.The Architect will be responsible for the development, progress, quality, and reporting of works performed within their discipline, in line with TEN values, policies, and contractual commitments, including HSES, quality, time, and cost.Reporting Lines and Interactions:•Hierarchically Reports To: Project Director•Operationally Reports To: Architectural Manager•Directly Supervises: N/AKey Interactions:•Internally: Project Management team and other discipline leads.•Externally: Client, contractors, and subcontractors.Job Scope (Budget, Management, Specific Criteria):•Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture, with at least 7 years in relevant industries for projects related to the scope of this agreement.•Capable of planning and managing the delivery of surveying elements of the project, including resource time and cost, either alone or with multidisciplinary teams.•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Specific Requirements:•Substantial experience in theme park design (mechanical rides, water parks, extreme sports).•Expertise in creating immersive, engaging environments that captivate visitors and realize the project vision.•Master planning, ride design integration, and themed architecture experience.•Collaboration experience with creatives, engineers, designers, and contractors to bring creative concepts to life while ensuring safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.•A strong portfolio of completed theme park projects.Project/Contract/Site Specific Information:•Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with occasional business trips to EPC and vendors' offices.Typical Background and Experience Required:•The Architect Manager should have 10 years of post-graduate experience in the stated discipline, with at least 3 years in relevant industries.Qualifications:•MSc/MEng/MBA in the relevant discipline.•Chartered surveyor and a member of a recognized institution (e.g., RICS/ICE).•Proficiency in integrating complex systems, optimizing space, and creating attractive and functional layouts.•Capable of planning and managing the delivery of surveying elements of the project, either alone or with multidisciplinary teams.•Fluent in written and spoken English.Nice to Have:•Experience as a PMC.•Experience in KSA or the Middle East with renowned clients.•Experience in infrastructure projects.Main Accountabilities:•Lead, coordinate, and report on discipline activities.
