Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Construction Manager - GCC National only to join our award-winning team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both infrastructure and vertical construction projects, including roads, highways, utilities, buildings, substations, and more. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Developing and maintaining professional and meaningful relationships with the project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are being satisfied.
- Overseeing the entire construction process, from planning and design through to completion, ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Leading and coordinating site activities, managing site supervision teams, and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Monitoring project schedules, tracking progress, and resolving any issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Developing and maintaining effective communication channels with all stakeholders including project owners, contractors, regulatory authorities, and suppliers.
- Supervising the construction of roads, highways, and utilities such as water, sewage, drainage, electrical, and telecom.
- Managing earthworks and grading processes, ensuring proper implementation of structural works such as bridges, tunnels, and culverts.
- Coordinating closely with local regulatory authorities to ensure that the project complies with all legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Supervising the construction of site foundations, buildings, substations, and other vertical assets.
- Coordinating structural steel work, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems installation, and other vertical asset-related activities.
- Ensuring efficient site supervision for smooth execution, and managing the timely delivery of materials and labor.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, contractors, and clients.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant construction regulations and standards at all times.
- Monitoring the workforce to ensure adherence to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Conducting regular site inspections to assess quality and progress, coordinating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to resolve technical challenges.
- Implementing and enforcing rigorous safety and quality standards across all aspects of construction.
- Developing and controlling the project budget, ensuring all costs are accurately tracked and project expenses are within budget limits.
- Ensuring effective allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project goals.
- Preparing progress reports and budget forecasts for stakeholders.
- Overseeing the contractor works on site to ensure project scope is met successfully.
- Managing and coordinating construction phases with all relevant third parties.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and advice to the project teams, ensuring that the required staff resources are available to complete all scoped services.
- Managing and directing the development and maintenance of the program and project schedules for all phases of the project including planning, design, and construction, identifying and mitigating delays or schedule slippage.
- Providing input into the development and maintenance of the cost and claims management plans including budget and estimate feedback, cash flow curves, value engineering (VE), preparation of bill of quantities as well as supporting the assessment of payment applications, variations, and claims.
- Ensuring the physical implementation of Divisional Health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all KEO internal processes and procedures.
- Providing reports (internal and external) in accordance with project requirements.
Qualifications
- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 15 years' career experience partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
