Our client in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced IT Functional Analyst to join their IT Governance Unit (ITGU) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of IT systems. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as in-depth understanding of business processes, IT governance frameworks, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear, actionable functional requirements.Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for IT systems, applications, and processes.Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current systems and business needs, and provide functional solutions.Support the implementation and enforcement of IT governance frameworks, ensuring systems and processes comply with internal policies and external regulations.Assist in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures related to IT systems, including data management, security, and quality assurance.Perform assessments and audits to ensure that the organization adheres to industry standards and best practices for IT governance and compliance.Work with technical teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of IT systems across different platforms.Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend functional changes to enhance system performance and user experience.Assist with the testing and validation of new system implementations or updates, ensuring they meet business requirements.Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system specifications, business process workflows, and user manuals.Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management regarding the progress of IT projects and functional analyses.Prepare reports on system performance, data accuracy, and process efficiencies.Support project teams in the delivery of IT projects by ensuring that functional requirements are met and systems are aligned with business objectives.Serve as the liaison between business units and technical teams, facilitating communication and collaboration across departments.Assist in training users on new systems and processes, ensuring smooth adoption and effective use.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in IT, business analysis, and IT governance.Proactively identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for process optimization and system enhancements.Contribute to the ongoing evolution of IT practices and tools within the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) are a plus.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a functional analyst, with at least 2-3 years working in IT governance or a related field.Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, process mapping, and system integration.Familiarity with ERP systems and business applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).Experience with IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001) and compliance management.Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and functional specification development.Knowledge of IT systems integration, data flow, and system testing.Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Proficiency in tools for documentation and requirements management (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office).Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).Strong presentation and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business units.
