As a Civil/ Architecture Cost Estimator, will seek to minimize the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality. This includes ensuring statutory building regulations are met. You'll prepare estimates and costs of the work and when the project is in progress, you'll keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability. Working either for the client or the contractor in an office, you'll be involved in every stage of a project. Projects include commercial, industrial and residential constructions.
1. Review the Tender Documents, B.O.Q, Drawings and Specifications to recognize the scope of the Project.
2. Site visit to fully understand the scope of work on the site and the environmental Factors.
3. Prepare Clarifications list for Project Scope item Specifications, Drawings, BOQs, Documents, Etc.
4. Make Quantity Take off Tables from Tender Drawings and Documents to provide correct Financial Proposals for all quantity to send all item details to suppliers.
5. Prepare Risk Assessment Report to evaluate Tender risks.
6. Prepare Material Procurement Packages for each project item based on project scopes.
7. Update Supplier List and sending RFP for Supplier, vendors and subcontractors and follow up the pricing status to make sure that suppliers contacts is updated.
8. Update Quotation and Making Cost comparison in case of multiple offers to select technically and commercially suitable proposals.
9. Collect Study and Selection of the appropriate Offers for the civil and architectural works from Sub-Contractors, Suppliers; with regular inquiry to prepare good Financial Proposals. and prepare dry (Direct) cost as per the Specifications
10. Prepare and calculate Indirect costs including overhead, logistics, financial costs, Risk assessment, etc.
11. Preparing project information, Metadata and Executive summaries for projects tenders
12. Check quantities surveying for civil and architectural items and quantity Extraction
13. Apply Value Engineering methodologies with Concerned Departments to arrive the maximum cost saving without affecting the technical aspects of the Project requirements.
14. Prepare of the Final Tender's Technical and Financial Proposals.
15. Reply for Post Tender Clarifications Inquiries.
16. Prepare estimates and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project to Continuous update for the costing elements to follows up of the price fluctuation and inflation in market.
