My client a leading architectural practice operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires a Head of Studio for their branch office in Riyadh practice. They are seeking suitable candidates who have a deep understanding of the KSA market and regulations who will deliver existing business and find more projects.About the Role:The Studio Head will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the architectural studio in KSA. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong design leadership, business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. The Studio Head will drive the creative vision, ensure project delivery excellence, and contribute to the growth and success of the practice in the region.Key Responsibilities:Studio Leadership: * Provide overall leadership and direction to the architectural studio in KSA. * Develop and implement strategic plans for studio growth and development. * Foster a collaborative and creative studio culture that encourages innovation and excellence.Design Management: * Oversee the design process for all projects, ensuring adherence to design standards, project briefs, and client expectations. * Lead and mentor design teams, providing guidance and expertise in all phases of the design process. * Ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that are culturally sensitive and responsive to the local context.Project Delivery: * Oversee project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. * Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.Client Relationship Management: * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations. * Represent the practice in client meetings and presentations. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities. * Business Development: * Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and the growth of the studio's portfolio. * Prepare proposals and presentations for potential clients.Team Management: * Recruit, mentor, and develop talented architects and design professionals. * Manage studio resources and ensure efficient utilization.Compliance: * Ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations and building codes.
Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution. * Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a proven track record of leading and delivering successful projects. * Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and local building codes in KSA. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Proven leadership and team management skills. * Strong business acumen and the ability to contribute to the growth of the practice. * Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in KSA, is highly desirable. * Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino). * Fluency in English and Arabic (desirable).
