SMS Director - Part 145Aviation Safety Leadership Role Full Time - Middle EastSalary - Competitive, with excellent benefits and relocation supportV-HR Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading aviation operator in the Middle East to recruit an experienced SMS Director with extensive expertise in Part 145 maintenance operations.This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished Safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments and has a proven record of implementing, managing, and improving Safety Management Systems in accordance with EASA Part 145 standards.Key Responsibilities: * Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System within the Part 145 Maintenance organisation. * Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a proactive safety culture. * Monitor and evaluate safety performance through audits, investigations, and data analysis. * Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all safety-related matters. * Oversee safety training programs and ensure effective communication across all levels of the maintenance organisation. * Champion risk management and promote a just culture focused on learning and development.
Candidate Requirements: * Proven leadership in SMS roles within aviation, specifically under EASA Part 145 regulations. * Deep understanding of maintenance operations and safety oversight in a regulated aviation environment. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing across departments and at executive level. * Experience in safety reporting systems, risk management tools, and quality assurance processes. * Relevant qualifications in Aviation Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
