Job Purpose
The Catering & Housekeeping Group Leader is responsible for managing the delivery of high-quality soft services with a primary focus on catering and housekeeping operations. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors, while maintaining efficient and compliant catering services. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating vendors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and promoting service excellence across the facility.
Key Functional Responsibilities
Catering Management
- Oversee daily catering operations including menu planning, food preparation, and service.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with nutritional and dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free).
- Coordinate catering for meetings, events, and organizational functions.
- Monitor catering budgets and report on cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
Housekeeping Management
- Supervise housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Develop and manage effective housekeeping schedules to ensure consistent service with minimal disruption.
Sustainability Initiatives
- Promote eco-friendly practices such as green cleaning products and waste reduction.
Key Managerial Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise catering and housekeeping teams.
- Set performance goals, conduct staff evaluations, and manage day-to-day team operations.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, sanitation, and labor regulations (e.g., OSHA, HACCP, local codes).
- Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements and technology solutions.

Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in facilities management, with at least 3 years in catering and/or housekeeping supervision.
