Job Description & Summary
The role entails administering daily payroll tasks across 12 countries in the Middle East region, ensuring accurate payroll data through coordination with HR, and assisting the Payroll lead with task management. It also involves reviewing and validating payroll entries, preparing monthly summaries and reconciliations for stakeholders, and delivering periodic reports.
The Payroll Senior Officer is responsible for promptly addressing payroll queries and issues, managing employee requests, and ensuring compliance with firm standards and finance policies.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records, files, and documentation is crucial, as is collaborating with systems administrators and the financial controls team to enhance operational and system performance.
- Responsible for supporting the administration of the payroll process and associated account maintenance in line with PwC accounting policies and procedures and relevant jurisdictional regulations.
- Administer the daily payroll tasks across 12 countries in which PwC ME operate in the ME region.
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure payroll related data is correct and up to date prior to payroll cut off dates, to facilitate efficient completion of the payroll process.
- Support the Payroll lead providing task management as required. Review and validate payroll GL entries prior to posting.
- Provide monthly payroll summaries and reconciliations to the team leader, accounting department, and other relevant stakeholders, to support monthly account close
- Prepare periodic reporting deliverables. Ensure payroll queries from relevant stakeholders, and payroll issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
- Manage employee requests for information, handle ad hoc payroll related questions; ensure follow-up actions are completed on a timely basis.
- Adhere to Firm standards, finance policy and procedures and payroll activities; deliver inline function SLAs.
- Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation and data to support payroll records.
- Work with systems administrators and financial controls team on an adhoc basis to support ongoing enhancement of operational and system performance of the payroll function.

- Good Microsoft Excel skills

- Understanding of social security payments and taxes within the ME region In depth understanding of payroll, benefits, and reimbursement processing procedures
- Understanding of general accounting standards and practices
