Lilly works with an extensive network of Third Party organizations to perform a vast range of activities across the enterprise. Known internal risks that impact Lilly such as privacy, information security, compliance, pricing, IT, etc. are amplified or compounded with the use of third parties.
The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) organization is responsible for managing the Working with Third Parties program to support consistent, efficient, and effective risk management when engaging with third parties. The team's scope encompasses priority business and risk areas across all stages of the lifecycle.
Successful execution of this strategy will reduce third party risk, strengthen capabilities, drive consistency and efficiency, and reduce cost.
The Sr. Manager - Third Party Management Office (TPMO) will enable engagements owners and third parties to execute WwTP program through logical and efficient processes, establishing solid rapport with IBU, Manufacturing & Quality, Corporate Commercial/G&A, Tech@Lilly and LRL functions to support their journey as they incorporate WwTP practices in to their functional operations. The TPMO Manager will have oversight of team tasks and activities ensuring that all work is performed with to the highest of standards. The manager will also actively connect with the team and drive engagement to ensure a high performing team and culture.
Managerial responsibilities:
- Hire, lead, mentor and develop TPMO team to deliver strategic and operational objectives
- Partner with the TPRM Capabilities team to support business objectives around data analytics, operations performance (KPIs), training (to TPRM teams and stakeholders) and TPRM's digital strategy
- Partner with TPRM Global Process Owner and Internal Controls Owner to support maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives across the WwTP Program
- Partner with peer management to support operational efficiency and process improvements across the wider WwTP team
- Accountable for ensuring the TPMO team is adequately trained and qualified to perform responsibilities
- Forges solid relationships with all key stakeholders
- Create a winning culture of decision-making, risk-taking and shared learning
Organizational responsibilities:
- Accountable for team day-to-day operations and resourcing tasks appropriately
- Ensure operational goals are met with best in class processes/systems and within compliance boundaries
- Lead and support the TPMO team to deliver on all aspects of the TPMO service catalog including but not limited to intake & IRQ support, operational oversight, due diligence activities, findings management and exits / terminations
- Cultivate an attitude of continuous improvement within the team
- Facilitate team meetings to communicate team performance goals, results and general business needs
- Demonstrate a strong compliance oriented approach & help to build a strong compliance culture within the team
- Ensure all team trainings are up to date at all times
- Improve operational efficiency and optimizes value by driving alignments across the third party base
- Decide and act promptly, using good judgment and anticipate or removes obstacles that get in the way of progress
- Support efforts to implement processes and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Deliver and drive excellence in quality standards
Stakeholder Management Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all functional stakeholders including Risk Domain Partner/Risk Assessor/Relationship Owner/Functional Owner/Engagement Owner/TPMO/Procurement as required
- Provide third party risk management oversight to relevant Stakeholders
- Partner with Data Insights lead to ensure business operations reporting and dashboards are in place to allow for oversight and enhanced decision making
- Partner with the TPRM Hub and other TPMOs to evolve and expand Lilly's third party management capabilities
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Experienced and proven people manager
- Experienced and proven project management and change management skills
- 3+ years Third Party Risk Management experience or similar (preferred)
Additional Skills/Preferences: - Familiar with Aravo or similar Third Party Risk Management technology
- Experience in a fast paced working environment
- Strong technical and data analytical skills
- Proven ability to frame clear choices and achieve quick wins
- Proven experience influencing constituents without formal authority to adopt improvements and changes to status quo
- Consistent track record delivering outstanding results in challenging business environments
- Strong communication and influence skills
