This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile transactions, guide a diverse portfolio of clients, and contribute to the strategic growth of our Capital Markets practice across the United States.Responsibilities:- Lead and manage complex capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, debt offerings, and securities compliance.- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic legal advice tailored to the capital markets sector.- Collaborate with cross-border teams to advise on regulatory and transactional matters impacting multi-jurisdictional clients.- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the firm's capital markets practice.- Mentor and guide junior lawyers and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.- Stay abreast of evolving capital markets regulations and industry trends to provide cutting-edge legal counsel.- Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and networking events to enhance its profile and market presence.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in relevant US jurisdictions.- Minimum of 8-10 years of substantive experience in capital markets law within a leading law firm or in-house legal department.- Proven track record of handling high-value and complex capital markets transactions, including IPOs and securities offerings.- Exceptional knowledge of US securities laws and regulations, with international law experience being a strong asset.- Demonstrated business development skills with an ability to attract and retain high-profile clients.- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams and mentoring legal professionals.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused environment.
