The Job – Software Engineer
What you'll be doing:
Understanding business value of projects to be done and making sure technical solution is aligned withcustomer value.
- Owning project delivery for important and complex projects that span multiple quarters
- Setting a high bar for engineering excellence and ensuring system quality does not dip
- Proactively thinks about how things could breakdown and prevents them
- Able to produce more technical scope than they consume, creating space for other engineers to grow
- Identify struggling teammates and offers help and coaching
- Working on improving the process of code deployment, and continuous integration, in addition to maintaining server infrastructure and security.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Proven track record of driving complex projects from inception to delivery
- Experience in leading other engineers through influence not authority
- Familiarity with IaaS/PaaS like Heroku, AWS or other
- Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus
