Job Purpose:OPDC, a subsidiary of PIF, is responsible for delivering "THE RIG." project – a unique hospitality and adventure experience on sustainable oil platforms in the middle of the sea. The Rig consists of four main topside platforms, hosting 800 hotel rooms, 11 restaurants, a 50-berth marina, and six zones dedicated to leisure and recreation activities.Within the framework of TEN values, policies, and contractual commitments (including HSES, quality, time, and cost), the Architect is responsible for overseeing development, progress, quality, and reporting related to their discipline.Reporting Lines and Interactions:•Hierarchical Reporting: Project Director•Operational Reporting: Architectural Manager•Direct Supervision: N/AKey Interactions:•Internally: Project Management Team, other discipline leads•Externally: Clients, contractors, and subcontractorsJob Scope & Requirements:•Experience: Minimum 10 years in architecture, with at least 7 years in relevant industries/projects.•Expertise: Experience in contract management for small to large-sized projects, including planning and delivery of surveying elements (time and cost management).•Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Specific Requirements:•Extensive experience in cruise ship and yacht design.•In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, interiors, and shipbuilding methodologies.•Expertise in integrating complex systems, optimizing space, and creating functional yet aesthetically pleasing layouts.•Experience collaborating with shipbuilders and naval engineers.Project / Contract / Site Details:•Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia•Travel: Occasional business trips to EPC and vendor offices.Typical Background & Experience:•Education: MSc/MEng/MBA in a relevant discipline.•Certification: Chartered Surveyor and member of a relevant institution (e.g., RICS/ICE).•Skills: Knowledge of both interior and exterior architectural design and engineering.•Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:•Experience working in a PMC role.•Prior experience in KSA or the Middle East with high-profile clients.•Background in large-scale infrastructure projects.Main Responsibilities:•Lead, coordinate, and report on architectural discipline activities.
