Engineering Manager – Minimum fifteen (15) years post graduate experience in the stated discipline, at least 10 of which must have been in the relevant industry on projects relevant to the type of projects being supported by this agreement, and with demonstrable ability to operate at the level defined. Strong knowledge of Conceptual Design, FEED / Detailed Engineering and EPC of Engineering scope in projects.•Responsible for planning & managing the day to day resourcing of a multi disciplinary team of engineers. •Demonstrate leadership of a team of 20 or more engineers, providing managerial direction and technical support to the team. •Take on the Lead Design role on exceptionally large and complex projects. •Alternatively this level of operation would include the provision of specialist advice for short discreet periods of time. •This level is most likely to operate from the Contractor's offices and would not normally be expected to be in-seconded.The Project Technical Manager main responsibilities are: •Responsible for the engineering group’s schedule, budgets, manpower and quality of engineering.•Responsible for the day-to-day detailed technical coordination and control of the engineering disciplines in the Project Team and functional groups within Engineering.•Reviews change requests for acceptability and for work-hours, schedule and material quantities, and issues project change logs and project change requests to the Project Manager for approval.•Coordinates technical matters relating to Procurement and Construction.•Ensure that applications for approvals under planning and other legislative and regulatory requirements are made and any conditions imposed are implemented•Review and report to the Client on selection of materials, building systems and equipment availability of materials and labour time requirements for engineering design, construction and installation and suggest alternatives as applicable.•Manage value engineering studies using appropriate techniques and report recommendations to the Client•Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory obligations, relevant standards and codes of practice and all relevant statutory consents and approvals.•Ensure that EPC Contractor(s) prepares necessary documentation required for regulatory approval•Ensure that compatible information systems are used by all parties engaged on the Project.•Ensure that HSSE in design is enforced and that the design takes account of safe construction methods•Lead investigations into technical issues that may occur during the whole life of the project using Root Cause Analysis.•Organise and manage the technical/design reviews between all stakeholders.•Arrange relevant HAZOP meetings and ensure that all outcomes are appropriately closed.•Arbitrates the resolution of major technical issues and submits to Project management and COMPANY mitigation plans•Coordinates and supervises the Lead Discipline Engineers, Project Engineers activities•Organizes the preparation and approves the procedures necessary to perform the engineering work•Coordinates the engineering activities with the other Project activities like Procurement, Subcontracting, Construction and ensures that necessary support / information is provided by the Disciplines to PMT.
