Job Purpose:
The Director of Operations Compliance will lead the development and implementation of industry-leading operational compliance frameworks across all our transportation and logistics operations. This role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and excellence through the development of robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and quality assurance practices. The successful candidate will ensure that our operations not only meet but exceed regulatory compliance standards and customer expectations in a dynamic and competitive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Working in a team and reporting to the Senior Director - Operations Excellence, the role will play a key role in delivering highly visible and bespoke events within the RSG destination. The role will be accountable for;
1. Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive SOPs, and procedures to ensure operational excellence across operations.
2. Lead and mentor a team focused on operational compliance and excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
4. Ensure all operations comply with international, and local regulatory requirements, as well as industry best practices.
5. Conduct regular audits of operational processes and implement corrective measures when necessary.
6. Drive initiatives geared towards innovative compliance solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.
7. Generate reports on operational compliance status for senior management.
8. Serve as the primary contact for all operational compliance inquiries and investigations.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Skills
Qualification and Experience
- A Master in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- At least 18 years of proven experience in operations compliance, with a significant portion in a leadership role, preferably within transportation and logistics sectors that include land, marine, and seaplane operations.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
- Certification in Health and Safety
- Certifications in Quality and Control Assurance
