• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electromechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, valves, sensors, agitators, manual valves, SOV and instrumentation.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in equipment such as control panels, PLCs, motor drives, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Install, test, and calibrate new machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Follow and enforce all company safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirements.
• Support emergency repairs and on-call rotation as needed.
• Assist in plant shutdowns, turnarounds, system reliability, and capital projects.
• Calibrate and service weigh scales and ventilation fans to ensure accurate batching and safe work environments.
• Inspect and maintain rubber hoses, piping systems, and flanged connections for integrity and leaks.
• Support installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
• Ensure operational readiness of fire sprinkler systems and support facility-wide safety systems maintenance.
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs using CMMS to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Respond to equipment failures and emergency maintenance calls across the facility.
Skills
Qualifications:
• Technical diploma in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial or chemical plant environment preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems (480V/3-phase), instrumentation, and mechanical components.
• Familiar with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley) , and industrial sensors.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations in a hazardous materials environment (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with pumps (centrifugal, diaphragm, gear), mixers, and automated filling lines for liquid products.
• Understanding of chemical compatibility, material safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Experience with explosion-proof equipment and intrinsically safe circuits in hazardous locations (ATEX).
• Proficient in reading P&IDs, control schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces with appropriate PPE.
