Description:What can you expect:We are seeking to appoint a Senior DC Investment Consultant within Mercer's Investment business. The successful candidate will provide investment advice and consulting services to Mercer's institutional clients. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join a successful team at a time of great change and opportunity.
We will rely on you to:We can offer some flexibility around an individual's skill set but would expect reasonable coverage of the following areas:
- Managing a portfolio of DC (Defined Contribution) pension scheme clients on a day-to-day basis, providing proactive advice and recommendations on a range of investment-related issues and ensuring on-going compliance with regulations.
- Maximise revenue opportunities across a portfolio of DC clients by expanding our solutions and services to them.
- Contribute to expanding Mercer's investment consulting footprint in DC through intellectual capital development, new business development, and attending new business pitches.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of Mercer's best ideas, investment capabilities and solutions in order to provide best advice and communicate effectively to clients.
- Ensuring clients are kept informed of major developments in the industry and advised on developments that may impact their investment arrangements.
- Liaising with colleagues across business lines to achieve successful investment outcomes for our clients.
- Assist with training and development of junior colleagues.
What you will need to have:
- Client-centric approach with 7+ years' investment experience
- Proven commercial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills coupled with an ability to communicate across all levels and functions
- The ability to build solid working relationships with clients and colleagues and the ability to influence
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with proactive attitude and willingness to innovate and adopt new ideas and practices
- Project management skills; proven ability to manage simultaneous projects and to meet multiple deadlines
- Flexibility of approach and proven ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative and to work effectively as part of a team
- Attention-to-detail is critical
