Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of IT to lead our IT operations and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP systems Microsoft products, including development, upgrades, and troubleshooting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage technical teams, improve system performance, ensure data integrity, and support business operations through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying IT needs, aligning IT strategies with business goals, and developing IT roadmaps.
- Lead and manage the overall IT function across the organization.
• Oversee the implementation, development, and upgrades of the SAP system (including modules such as MM, SD, FI, etc.).
• Ensure system performance, security, and stability across all IT platforms.
• Manage SAP reports development and modifications based on business requirements.
• Modify and update pricing structures within the SAP system as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including system errors, user problems, and integration failures.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify IT-related improvements and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Supervise IT staff, vendors, and consultants.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements with minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure compliance with data security policies and industry best practices.
Skills
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with SAP HANA, ABAP development, and data migration.
• Familiarity with other enterprise systems (CRM, WMS, etc.).
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
- Understanding of the SAP Business one system and modules: Comprehensive knowledge of SAP B1: Understanding the system structure, how it works, and how the various modules are interconnected.
- Little knowledge how to manage general accounts, general ledger, expenses, revenues, fixed assets, financial reports (balance sheet, profit and loss).
- Sales (Sales - A/R): Manage quotations, sales orders, sales invoices, and follow up with customers and debtors.
- Knowledge how to manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier invoices, and follow up with suppliers and creditors.
- Knowledge how to management, inventory items, inventory movement (in/out), valuation, inventory.
- The ability to analyze a company's current business processes, identify points for improvement and how SAP B1 can efficiently support these processes.
- Converting the needs of different departments in the company into functional requirements that can be implemented in SAP B1.
- Ability to design solutions using standard SAP B1 features, or identify the need for customizations or add-ons.
- Understanding the SQL language, table design, complex queries, and database administration.
- Understanding SQL Script, data modeling, HANA database administration, and in-memory analytics.
- User and Authorization Management, Backup & Recovery, Performance, Monitoring and Optimization, Installing Patches, Upgrades and System Security
- Ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and develop effective and innovative solutions.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willing to learn new features, emerging technologies (such as AI, IoT linked to SAP HANA), and best practices.
- Ability to train and support end users.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP systems, including development, configuration, and upgrades.
• Proven experience in modifying pricing and other business-critical data in SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Managing relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Monitoring the performance of IT systems, generating reports, and identifying areas for improvement.
