Job Summary:The Production Engineer will be responsible for estimating, designing, planning, coordinating, and overseeing the manufacturing, and quality control of AC ducting fabrication and cable management systems (such as cable trays, trunking, and related support structures). The role involves optimizing production workflows, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards, and improving overall efficiency in HVAC and electrical infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities:•Fabrication Oversight: ?Supervise and manage GI, aluminum, and pre-insulated duct fabrication activities in accordance with ASHRAE/SMACNA standards.?Oversee the manufacturing and assembly of cable management systems (cable tray , ladder type, trunking, etc.).?Ensure adherence to fabrication drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.•Production Planning:?Create and implement efficient production schedules to meet project timelines. ?Prepare and execute daily/weekly production schedules based on project requirements.?Coordinate with all teams to ensure timely delivery and fabrication of ducts and cable trays.?Monitor material availability and manage inventory to avoid production delays.•Material Management: ?Estimate, design, requisition, and track raw materials (metal sheets, insulation, fasteners, etc.) required for duct and cable management systems manufacturing.•Technical Drawings: ?Review HVAC shop drawings and ensure accurate interpretation for production. •Quality Control: ?Conduct quality inspections on fabricated products and accessories; ensure compliance with industry standards.•Team Coordination: ?Work closely with all teams to align production.•Troubleshooting:?Resolve technical or production-related issues on the shop floor .and machinery programing and operation.•Documentation: ?Maintain records of daily production, workforce utilization, material usage, and fabrication reports.•Health & Safety: ?Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of equipment and materials• Process Improvement & Reporting:?Identify opportunities for cost savings, waste reduction, and process improvements.?Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production status, KPIs, and challenges.?Train and guide technicians and operators for improved performance and skill development.
Qualifications:•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.•Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC ducting and cable management systems manufacturing and installation.•Technical Skills:oKnowledge of SMACNA, ASHRAE, and electrical cable routing standardsoProficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks ,MS Office, and ERP systemsoUnderstanding of fabrication techniques, machine tools, and material propertiesoFamiliarity with HVAC and MEP coordination drawingsoStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsPreferred Skills:•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills•Excellent communication and coordination abilities•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks•Knowledge of workplace safety and quality assurance practices
