Summary
· You will be responsible for utilizing our demand management tools and related information to create and issue purchase orders to our supply base. This includes all monitoring, PO changes, expediting as well as the timely resolution of receiving and payment issues.
· You will also work to facilitate communication between Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Design, Engineering and other departments to support the selection of primary and secondary suppliers of raw materials that offer the best value to Ashley.
· This role will serve as an Ashley company representative to our most strategic suppliers, you be communicating Ashley goals and ensuring each supplier is engaged in supporting them.
· You will also be expected to assist in maintaining accurate SOP and training materials in addition to leading efforts to ensure new and existing staff members are trained accordingly.
· You will provide recommendations to the Global Category Manager teams based on variables most important in that related category of spend.
Primary Job Functions:
· Work with demand planning systems to determine material requirements, make purchases, follow-up with suppliers on the status of orders, expedite orders when necessary and ensure proper inventory control. Complete the processing of purchasing transactions necessary to fulfill the Purchasing Department transactions within the related PO management system. (65%)
· Investigate and resolve quality, receiving payment and other related supplier issues that could impact the timely availability of quality materials for use by our manufacturing operations personnel. Notify departments appropriately (25%)
· Provide procurement input to maximize procurement leverage. Monitor supplier performance through business reviews and monthly scorecards. Meet with suppliers as necessary, and/or as requested by key stakeholders or other members of management. Evaluate suppliers and help to prepare proposals and RFQ’s (10%)
· Maintain reliable attendance.
· Assist efforts in training other employees and providing backup.
· Utilize spent information, data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects for individual subcategories. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and category ownership by assisting in the creation and supporting category strategies and decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities
1- Keep efficient stock from all items, re-ordering new stock after analyzing and auditing the stock
data for each item.
2- Establishes and maintains secure and sufficient stock for high demand items.
3- Generate stock reports such as re-order level report (ROL), stock reports, sales reports for all
items by category, vendor, and store, and slow moving and Stagnant items.
4- Reporting to the inventory control manager with, recommendations, and analyzing result.
5- Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
6- Follow up the display enhancement and coordinate with the visual merchandisers team (V.M) for
the movement and supporting the display with the required items to make the display completed
and harmonious to give the customer a unique experience.

Skills
Required Skills/Abilities
Computer knowledge:
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- Previous experience with ERP system (prefer ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX).
Excellent communication skills with, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
