About the Job
This position leads the HR function locally, building a high-performing, compliant, and people-focused culture from the ground up. It is the key link between Valu’s Egypt HQ and our Jordan-based teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s values, strategy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and execute the local HR strategy in full alignment with Egypt HQ direction, policies, and standards.
- Represent HR in local leadership discussions and decisions.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the entire recruitment process for all roles in the Jordan office.
- Build talent pipelines and deliver seamless, policy-aligned onboarding experiences.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related matters locally.
- Ensure all employee relations and HR practices comply with local labor law and are aligned with Egypt HQ policies.
- Own contracts, documentation, leaves, and the offboarding process.
Performance & Development
- Oversee the full performance management cycle in line with HQ processes.
- Drive development initiatives and support training based on Valu’s learning frameworks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Manage payroll full cycle
- Administer local benefits programs while maintaining consistency with HQ compensation policies.
Culture & Engagement
- Lead engagement efforts, team-building activities, and culture-building initiatives.
- Promote a positive, inclusive culture aligned with Valu’s values.
HR Operations & Reporting
- Maintain HR records in line with data privacy laws and HQ standards.
- Provide regular reporting and HR analytics to Egypt HQ.
- Administer local HR systems and coordinate with IT for system access and compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of the local labor law and HR best practices.
- Experience in fast-paced or startup environments is a plus.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Additional Requirements:
- Must be currently based in Jordan.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to Egypt or other markets as needed.
- Strong network within the local business community in Market is a plus.
- Knowledge of the regulatory landscape for fintech or consumer lending in the Local Market is highly preferred.
