Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial planning, strategy, risk management, and administrative operations of the client Company. The CFAO will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial sustainability, governance compliance, and operational excellence to support the
company’s growth and long-term vision
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
· Develop and lead the execution of financial strategies aligned with the company’s
mission and growth objectives.
· Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
· Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, capital structure, and financial performance.
· Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors on financial planning and investment opportunities.
· Supervise accounting functions, audits, and compliance with ZATCA, SOCPA, IFRS, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Administrative Oversight
· Lead all administrative functions including procurement, HR, IT systems, and general services to ensure efficient internal operations.
· Design and implement policies and systems that promote operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
· Develop and oversee cost control and resource optimization initiatives across the organization.
· Ensure the integrity of contracts, vendor management, and corporate governance practices.
Governance & Risk Management
· Establish and maintain internal control systems that ensure proper financial and administrative practices.
· Lead the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) efforts and regulatory
compliance frameworks.
· Liaise with legal advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full legal and financial compliance.
Stakeholder & Board Engagement
· Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and strategic updates to the CEO, Board, and Investment Committees.
· Collaborate with academic, governmental, and investment partners to align financial policies with strategic priorities.
· Act as a trusted advisor in joint ventures, partnerships, and capital raising initiatives.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Required)
· Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or MBA (Preferred)
· Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or SOCPA (Highly Preferred)
Experience
· Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a C-level or senior executive role.
· Proven experience in managing administrative functions within an investment holding company, startup ecosystem, or semi-governmental entity in Saudi Arabia.
· Demonstrated track record in financial modeling, capital planning, and strategic advisory at the executive level.
Skills
· Strong command of IFRS and Saudi regulatory frameworks.
· Deep understanding of governance, risk, and compliance standards in the Saudi context.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
