Job Summary
The Chief Accountant will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance and other regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Provide strategic insights into financial planning and risk management, advising senior leadership on cost optimization and profit maximization.
- Prepare, review, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing recommendations to the executive team.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and other financial operations to maintain optimal liquidity.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing accounting functions.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems is a Must.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and audit processes.
