Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Site Architect to lead the on-site implementation of architectural design, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in delivering complex and technically demanding projects across multiple sectors.Key Responsibilities1. Design DevelopmentSupport the Associate/Project Director in all aspects of design development.Lead the on-site implementation of project designs.Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and codes.Utilize the correct design standards and ensure all technical details are sound.Ensure the design meets the client brief in terms of operational and functional performance.Contribute to and update NBS specifications and project briefs.Coordinate and review all sub-consultant packages and drawing sets.2. DocumentationMaintain up-to-date project documentation.Track issuance of drawings and specifications, following set procedures.Draft cover letters for formal submissions.Monitor and support all local authority submissions.3. Quality AssuranceEnsure adherence to internal quality systems and standards.Conduct regular drafting checks and report findings to senior management.Ensure all team members understand and apply relevant local authority regulations.Monitor deadlines and notify leadership of any potential delays with proposed recovery plans.Ensure all submissions are properly prepared and compliant with requirements.Manage resource and NOC tracking schedules.4. Consultant CoordinationOrganize and document meetings with sub-consultants, assigning clear actions and deadlines.Ensure construction drawings are coordinated and align with sub-consultants’ inputs.Track and ensure timely delivery from sub-consultants, including NOC applications.Confirm sub-consultants’ scope is complete for payment certifications.5. ManagementManage delivery of all project-related documentation.Communicate project expectations across the team and to senior leadership.Inspire and guide the architectural team.Support overall project management and maintain project records per office standards.Suggest and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.6. PlanningAllocate realistic timelines for each project phase based on previous experience.Regularly update the project lead on progress.Use MS Project for programming and keep updated records after every milestone.7. CommunicationMaintain consistent communication with all team members and stakeholders.Handle all written correspondence related to the project.Take and distribute minutes from formal meetings and maintain records of informal ones.8. Post-Contract CoordinationReview contractor submissions, including shop drawings and material submittals.Respond to RFIs and conduct technical discussions with contractors and suppliers.Conduct on-site inspections, mock-up reviews, and ensure design intent is met.Collaborate with post-contract teams to resolve site issues and document lessons learned.10. Senior Architect / ID ResponsibilitiesReview architectural and interior design (ID) samples for design intent compliance.Assess all related submittals and shop drawings.Lead technical and tenant coordination meetings.Liaise with structural, MEP, and other consultants to address design-related matters.Coordinate with clients to secure final approvals for design elements.Ensure compliance with authority regulations for all on-site alterations or amendments.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior site role.Strong knowledge of local building codes and authority regulations.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and other relevant tools.Excellent communication, team leadership, and coordination skills.
