Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a sustainability manager to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, KSA.
This role is responsible for supporting projects and clients to improve their sustainability performance and achieve high green certification ratings.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Developing excellent quality sustainability reports, calculators, rating system support kits, standards documents, and sustainability code compliance documents as required by clients and director.
- Maintaining direct control of timelines and budgets for different projects assigned to the consultant.
- Attending client meetings as needed on behalf of the wider sustainability and environmental team.
- Working directly on design and consultancy deliverables including technical reports and supporting calculations.
- Communicating closely with senior management regarding the project's financial performance, status, and profitability.
- Understanding of green certification systems: LEED and Mostadam. WELL and Envision are mandatory.
- Ensuring that the sustainability requirements of green certification systems are complied with. Supporting the review of submissions by other parties and the undertaking of audits.
- Experience in auditing, reporting, and providing reports to clients and green certification authorities.
- Communicating with other KEO divisions about sustainability relating to projects, regulatory issues, education, and new developments.
- Ensuring existing quality control, quality assurance, submittal protocols, and document flow procedures are followed and successfully implemented.
- Implementing sustainability international best practices in all areas of work. Taking responsibility for maintaining knowledge of changes in market and where needed, undertaking relevant new accreditations or accreditation requirements.
- Preparing and responding to RFPs for both technical and commercial components of both compliance level and complex project bids.
- Representing KEO at public speaking events or conducting education seminars on sustainability topics to groups.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 8+ years' work experience partnered with a bachelor degree in architectural or engineering. Knowledge of working on green certifications and submission procedures as per US Green Building Council and BRE requirements will be considered beneficial.
- Understanding of green certification systems: LEED and Mostadam. WELL and Envision are mandatory.
