About the role:
This position is essential in ensuring that students are physically and mentally prepared to learn, providing immediate care for injuries and illnesses, and promoting a healthy school culture. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate approach and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for students, including vision and hearing tests.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation for each student.
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions in students.
- Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to address health concerns and promote student wellness.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and school policies.
- Act as a liaison between the school and local health services.
- Participate in school events and health fairs to promote health awareness.
Preferred Candidate:
- Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Knowledge of health education and promotion strategies.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
