The Night Pusher is responsible for overseeing and supervising all rig operations during the night shift to ensure that drilling activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drilling Operations Management
· Supervise all rig operations during the night shift, ensuring that work is performed safely and according to the drilling program.
· Coordinate activities between the drilling crew, service providers, and third-party contractors.
· Ensure proper handover with the Day Pusher and Rig Superintendent to maintain continuity of operations.
· Monitor drilling parameters and operational conditions, reporting any anomalies or concerns immediately.
· Ensure that all rig floor, mud system, and auxiliary equipment are operated and maintained properly.
· Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all crew members adhere to company HSE policies and procedures.
· Conduct and participate in safety meetings, drills, and tool box talks.
· Verify that all permits and checklists are in place before starting operations.
· Maintain accurate records and logs of all drilling activities during the night shift.
· Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the crew to maintain high morale and productivity.
· Communicate effectively with the Rig Superintendent, Driller, and other key personnel regarding operational status and challenges.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Rig Superintendent
Skills
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in drilling operations is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling operations, minimum 2 years in the same position.
- Good knowledge of drilling equipment, tools, and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and safety practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Good command of English Language skills (Written and Verbal).
