Established in 2014 as Easy Taxi, it was rebranded in 2016 to expand its services. Jeeny operates in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Pakistan, with offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Khobar, Amman, Lahore, and Karachi.
Role Overview
The people operations lead will be responsible for managing and optimizing HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Pakistan, and enhancing the overall employee experience. This role will lead a team of people operations specialists and work closely with HR leadership to drive operational efficiency, automation, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee HR operations across Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Pakistan, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including contracts, working hours, wages, leave policies, termination procedures, and employee rights specific to each country
- Lead and manage the people operations team, overseeing key HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and record-keeping
- Develop and maintain HR policies that align with labor laws in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Pakistan while ensuring consistency in HR service delivery
- Partner with the VP of people to align HR operations with business strategy and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and implement changes in labor laws, ensuring the company is up to date with legal requirements in each country
- Collaborate with legal teams and external consultants to manage compliance risks, labor disputes, and government regulations
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits administration, and tax deductions in line with country-specific employment laws
- Develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for HR service delivery, ensuring a high-quality employee experience
- Act as a key HR data custodian, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in HRIS and employee records management
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends, providing insights for strategic decision-making
- Support employee relations initiatives, working closely with HR business partners to address and resolve employee concerns effectively
- Champion HR technology adoption, automation, and process improvements to enhance productivity
- Lead and mentor a team of people operations specialists, ensuring their development and effectiveness
Requirements
Employment Laws & Compliance Focus
- Saudi Arabia: Compliance with the Saudi labor law, GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance), Nitaqat Saudization requirements, end-of-service benefits, and wage protection system
- Jordan: Adherence to the Jordanian labor law, Social Security Corporation (SSC) contributions, employment contracts, termination procedures, and working hour regulations
- Pakistan: Compliance with Pakistan's labor laws, EOBI (Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution), social security contributions, minimum wage policies, and industrial relations laws
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Six or more years of HR experience, with at least two years in a managerial or leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Pakistan
- Experience managing and developing a team, with a track record of driving operational efficiency
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to HR decision-making
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple HR projects, meet deadlines, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with HR technology, HRIS, payroll systems, and process automation tools
- Fluency in English and Arabic preferred to manage compliance across different regions
